Five electric access platforms to look out for at APEX

Next month’s APEX exhibition in Maastrict, showcasing the latest innovations in access platform design, promises to include the largest number of fully electric machines ever. Access International had an advance peek at some of the most exciting.

One of the themes of this year’s APEX exhibition on 6-8 June is the numbers of fully electric access platforms which OEMs are adding to their existing ranges. Access International rounded up some of the most exciting.

1. Palazzani’s TSJ 35.1 Ragno spider lift.
Italian spider platform manufacturer Palazzani is set to unveil its TSJ 35.1 Ragno spider lift at the show. Although based on and as a replacement for Palazzani’s previous TSJ 35 model, the new Ragno TSJ 35.1 includes the manufacturer’s “latest generation technology for easier maintenance” and performance. Offering an outreach of 15m and a working height of 35m, the full green ECO power version includes an AC electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.

2. Haulotte electric all-terrain lift~
French OEM Haulotte is expected to announce a new fully electric all-terrain lift to join its expanded low emissions Pulseo Generation range of aerial lifts. The company has also said it plans to renew all its models with electric-powered versions.

3. Palfinger’s P250BK eDrive truck mounted platform
Austrian OEM Palfinger is due to launch one of the first zero-emission truck mounts on the market. The 25 meter working height P250BK eDrive comes with a fully electric drive which powers both the platform and the vehicle itself. Palfinger says it offers the same power as a conventional diesel-powered truck mounted access platform - and can be recharged while it is in operation.

4. Dinolift’s 280 RXTE lightweight boom lift

Finish OEM Dinolift plans to showcase the lithium version of its all-electric boom lift, the Dino RXTE which the company launched amid great fanfare last year. The lightweight lift with outriggers, is an extension of the Dino RXT series of lightweight 4x4 boom lifts.



5. Genie’s GS-1932 E-Drive Lithium-ion scissor lifts
US-based Genie will be displaying its GS-1932 E-Drive scissor lift which features a specially designed zero maintenance battery which the company says can provide a full working day’s use without charging and has a lifespan of 10 years. It delivers a maximum working height of 7.8 meters and come with a basket capacity of 227kg.
