26 August 2010

UK equipment rental company, Speedy has invested £1 million in a new range of low-level access equipment from Youngman.

Speedy has bought a wide selection of products from Youngman's BoSS access tower range, including the modular aluminium system Clima, the fibreglass Zone 1 GRP, which can be used in hazardous environments such as near overhead power cables and the new Cam-Lock Advance Guard Rail (AGR), which is compatible with all BoSS Towers.

Speedy says that it currently has the UK's largest range of low-level access equipment and runs 28 specialist access depots nationwide.

The company provides a free low level access selection guide, Cam-Lock Advance Guard Rail product guide with assembly instructions and offers training courses to its customers on how to work safely at height still the biggest cause of fatal accidents and serious injuries on construction sites - as well as the new PASMA Low Level Access course.

Andy Connor, supply chain director at Speedy said, "This is our second major investment into new low-level access equipment this year as we remain committed to maintaining the quality of our fleet.

"Low-level access solutions are becoming increasingly popular as they can be adapted to many different situations and they can also be a safer way of working than using ladders.

"As soon as quality manufacturers like Youngman develop innovative new products we move quickly to secure them for our customers."
