It has been another striking year for the access50, thanks to a range of acquisitions and new entries. Let’s get started with the buyouts. Since the 2018 listing, United Rentals con rmed it had bought BlueLine, helping to bring its MEWP fleet size to a blistering 145,686.

It was only three years ago, in the 2016 list, that United was still on its way to hitting the 100,000 fleet size target. is year, its closest competitor Sunbelt has risen above that  landmark too for the rst time, with more than 104,000 units. It was two years ago that third-placed Loxam entered the top 10 for the first time, thanks to its acquisition of Lavendon Group.
