Easi Uplifts is to open its first rental depot in Hungary at Kecskemét, south east of Budapest. The new depot will be part of the Slovakian business run by Glenn Pearson.

Mr Pearson told AI that the new location would start with around 50 machines, mainly units redeployed from the company's fleet of around 250 platforms operated at its Kosice and Bratislava locations in Slovakia.

He said the new depot - which is officially opened in the first week of June - is very close to the new Mercedes car factory being built in Kecskemét and also close to a new industrial warehousing and centre that is being built.

Easi Uplifts first established the Slovakian business in 2008 when it acquired a majority shareholding in Slovakian access rental company Strojné Centrum Slovakia (SCS), which then had a fleet of around 100 machines. Mr Pearson was a shareholder in SCS and is now Easi Uplift's eastern European sales manager.
