Russian rental company Ltech has opened its fifth depot in Kazan, Russia, in time for the 2013 Universiade.

Kazan is the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan, and one of Russia's largest cities. Tatarstan has a number of natural resources including oil, natural gas and gypsum, and it is going to be the host city of the 2013 Summer Universiade. The Universiade is an Olympic Games for students and participants come from all over the world.

The construction work around Universiade includes a number of athletic, accommodation and infrastructure facilities: a water sports palace, tennis academy, eight outdoor tennis courts, and a sports school. An athletes' village is planned which will encompass 30 hectares: a press-centre and conference hall, a 12000 m2 training stadium, a medical centre and an entertainment centre are among the facilities.

Ltech's new depot will allow the company to be on the spot to provide the necessary, lifting equipment which it believes is essential for the construction of such massive buildings.

From the Kazan branch, Ltech will offer a variety of self propelled lifts, truck and trailer mounted lifts, loaders, cranes, transport platforms and hoists for rent or sale. Other equipment includes building maintenance units, and bridge and tunnel repair systems.
