Liftech has become the new distributor for Palazzani spider lifts in the UK and Ireland.

The first models purchased by Liftech will be delivered at the beginning of April, with the XTJ 32 and XTJ 43+, already sold to an English rental company and a TZX 250.

The Ragno XTJ 32 reaches a height of 32m, an outreach of 14.3m and a capacity of 330kg. The narrow XTJ 43+ has a 43m working height, an outreach of 18m and a basket capacity of 330kg. Finally, the Ragno TZX 250, equipped with an articulated aluminum telescopic boom, has a 25m working height and outreach of 10.6m.

Victoria Westwood, managing director and founder of Liftech, said the company offers customers technical expertise, dedicated service staff and repair or overhaul of equipment for a range of global brands.

Apart from running Liftech, Westwood, who has 15 years’ experience in the construction, infrastructure and lifting sectors, is also an active supporter of women in the industry. “I was an ambassador for women in construction three years ago and I want to see more women in the aerial lift industry in roles that break traditional stereotypes.

“My love for aerial platforms developed into my last customer management role in the energy and infrastructure field, where I was able to see the opportunities that they offer and how much time and money they can save my customers by working with the maximum safety. “

Westwood added, that there was an immediate understanding between the Italy-based Palazzani Industrie and Liftech due to their common goal of customer service.

Each platform purchased from Liftech is supplied with a demonstration of all operational and safety features. Westwood said, “Spiders are heavily underutilised and so all sectors are important however the arborist sector is probably a key sector to get into along with the energy, telecoms, infrastructure and exterior cleaning and maintenance.”

Laura Gasparini, export sales manager of Palazzani, commented, “We have known the UK market for more than 30 years, but as in other European markets, here too it was necessary to strengthen our presence through a distributor that would cover more of the territory both geographically and in terms of sectors.

“Over the years we have successfully supplied spiders to major clients mainly in England, including rental companies such as TCA, Paramount Platforms, Avon Access and end customers such as Canary Wharf, Glaxo Smith Kline, Television Center, King’s College School in Wimbledon.”

There are two events on the 2022 calendar where Liftech will exhibit the Ragni Palazzani: ScotPlant, which will be held in Edinburgh 22-23 April and Vertikal Days, in Peterborough, 11-12 May 2022.
