TVH Equipment acquires in Belgium

Belgian company TVH Equipment NV - a subsidiary of TVH Group - has expanded its footprint in its home country with the acquisition of access specialist Rentalift BV.

TVH acquired the business from its majority shareholder, Van den Dorpe Handling Equipment.

Rentalift, which is based in Izegem in Belgium’s northwest region, is a family-run firm that provides rental and sales of aerial work platforms and mini cranes, and exclusively sells the Jekko and Multitel brands.

The company was established in 2001 by the Deschrijvere - De Leersnyder family. The acquisition will add to TVH’s existing Belgian branches in Waregem, Diksmuide, Sint-Niklaas, Londerzeel, Antwerp, Nivelles, and Maaseik.

Rentalift rents scissor lifts, self-propelled booms, telehandlers and forklifts throughout Flanders, with a regional foothold in West and East Flanders, said TVH.

A specialist in the sale of new and used construction equipment, such as forklifts, aerial platforms, telescopic handlers, loading ramps and pallet trucks, Waregem-headquartered TVH aims to help Rentalift further develop as a ‘one-stop-shop’ that will cater to the region’s industrial, infrastructure, construction and events sectors.

TVH Equipment in Belgium, which has a 5,000 unit rental fleet consisting of JLG, Genie, Manitou, Ruthmann, Teupen and Holland Lift branded equipment, acquired Rentalift from its majority shareholder, Van den Dorpe Handling Equipment.

Van den Dorpe Handling Equipment’s divestment of the firm was part of a streamlining processes designed to enable the company to focus more on its logistics, industry and port activities.
