A place in history

Almost 100000 m3 of Layher's Allround scaffolding has been used inside the new Mercedes Benz museum in Stuttgart, due to open in time for the football World Cup in 2006.
Scaffold specialist Klaus Mack Gerustbau has erected a birdcage scaffold to provide access to the two spirally intertwined floors, in some instances on angled and curved surfaces, and on projecting and varying levels. The structure is continually being adapted as construction continues, with the Allround scaffold also being used to support the temporary roof 40 m (131 ft) over the atrium.
