Rental company Summit Platforms has been named as one of the fastest organically growing companies in the United Kingdom.

The access equipment and telehandler specialist made it to number 15 on the 2023 Organic Growth 25 (OG25) list, which is compiled by accountancy firm Buzzacott.

The ranking, last published in 2021, ranks companies from across all sectors that have achieved a minimum revenue increase of 80% over the past three years, with no external investment above £1 million or acquisitions worth 10% of the current value of the company.

Established in 2014 in the West Midlands, Summit Platforms saw its revenues grow by 118% between 2022 and 2023, securing its place on the OG25 list for the first time.

James Watson, Director at Summit Platforms, said, “We’re delighted to receive this recognition from Buzzacott. It demonstrates our growth plans are set on the right path, and gives us confidence for the future.

“Every percentage point increase in our revenue is based on setting a firm financial foundation and delivering the best possible service, so we continuously attract new customers then work just as hard to retain them.”

Despite being operational for less than a decade, Summit Platforms - which offers aerial platforms with working height ranging from 4m to 44m - has gone from a single location to providing a national service through a network of ten depots.

Commenting on the OG25, Buzzacott said, “The report shines a spotlight on exceptional UK businesses that have demonstrated remarkable growth while consistently achieving profitability.

“These businesses have been outperforming highly-leveraged competitors, including those with a pure inorganic growth strategy. By showcasing their successes, we aim to provide valuable insights and inspiration to others in the business community.”
