Garpon SL, a construction and industrial maintenance contractor based in Lugo in the north of Spain, has bought a 70 m (230 ft) working height Wumag WT 700 truck mounted platform, the highest aerial platform currently working in Spain. The machine, mounted on a 4 axle MAN carrier, will be used by Garpon for maintaining high structures, including wind turbines. Garpon's owner and managing director, Manual Garcia Ponte (pictured), told AI that the 70 m model would allow the company to provide a more cost effective service to its customers, and also help replace the use of suspended cradles. Garpon has also invested in a 45 m (148 ft) Wumag WT 450 machine. Both units were supplied to Garpon by GF Lifting SL, Wumag's Spanish dealer.
