Haulotte Australia has partnered with equipment rental company Hire Australia to offer grants to support community projects in the state of Victoria.

The Elevating Communities programme will provide essential funding for initiatives and projects run by community groups, schools and local individuals that contribute to creating “more connected communities”.

Matt Reeves, Hire Australia owner, said, “There are so many community groups doing great work on a shoestring budget. We are a 100% locally owned business, and this is something that we have wanted to do for a long time, and we’re excited it’s now a reality.”

Hire Australia will raise the funds for the community grants by hiring out a new scissor lift that it recently purchased from Haulotte, specifically for the Elevating Communities programme.

Haulotte Australia will support the programme with a financial donation towards the first grant and will also provide a custom, vibrant pink paint job for Hire Australia’s new scissor lift.

“We may be a global company, but we are always looking for ways to support local communities, through donations, volunteering or equipment,” said Keith Clarke, Haulotte Australia General Manager.

“This is a great initiative, and we look forward to continuing our support into the future.”

The Elevating Communities programme will allocate grants of up to AU$2,000 (US$1,350) each four times a year, with people local to the Victoria area able to apply for them at any time.

“We have tried to make our grants as easy to access as possible by allowing individuals to apply for funding for a community project,” said Reeves. “So many local businesses contribute to our community, and we want to make sure we’re doing our part,” he said South-West Victoria-based community groups, schools and individuals can apply for grants of up to $2000.
