Since March of last year Belgian general rental company Euro Rent has increased its access equipment fleet by adding €1.5 million worth of Layher scaffolding, growing its fleet of De Jong hoists to 150, and ordering 12 large Genie platforms. Kris Coppens (pictured), general manager of the company, which also rents equipment in the Netherlands and France, said the Genie machines include 18 m working height 5390 RT scissors and Z-51/30J RT articulated booms. The company is looking for a site to supplement the current 15000 m2 depot in Antwerp, said Mr Coppens. He hopes to open the second facility by the second quarter, and he may split off the growing lift business into a separate division.
