Hosted by AI and IPAF, the theme of the condensed digital summit will be sustainability. The event will be hosted by Mark Durden Smith, presenter of English rugby union coverage on national TV in the UK.

Registration for the event is free to all those wishing to join; anyone wishing to become a digital delegate is advised to visit the website at www.iapa-summit.info/booking without delay.

Sustainability theme

The theme of the IPAF Summit will consider the wider question of sustainability in powered access, the challenges of operating safely and effectively in the post-Covid-19 era, and the opportunities of digital and technological innovation for safer work at height and quality training. The confirmed line-up of presenters for the event includes:

  • Suzannah Nichol, CEO, Build UK
  • Søren Brogaard, Trackunit
  • Peter Douglas, CEO & MD of IPAF
  • Round table: Murray Pollok, managing editor of International Rental News will chair the discussion, featuring Karel Huijser, JLG; Pierre Boels, Boels Rental; and Norty Turner, United Rentals.

Each of the presentations and discussions will be interspersed by announcements of the winners of the 2020-21 IAPAs, as well as a coffee break featuring video presentations from the event sponsors, and a closing session to allow attendees to participate in a virtual networking session.

Peter Douglas, CEO of IPAF, said, “We may have been forced to change the way we normally do things owing to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but we are pleased and excited that through this innovative online approach many attendees from around the world will still be able benefit from a high-quality series of speakers and participate in the celebrations as we announce the latest winners of the various IAPAs categories.

“We hope people will be able to join us and that they are looking forward to this event in an exciting new digital format as much as we are. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors CMC Lift, Hinowa and ELS Lift for their support, for helping to make this event happen.”

Murray Pollok, editorial and events director for KHL Group, commented, “We are very confident that this new format will offer a high-quality blend of speakers and exciting announcements of the IAPAs winner, interspersed by opportunities for delegates from around the globe to network digitally and participate fully in what should be both an informative and fun event.”
