Tracked platform specialist CMC is to return to live trade shows in Europe, after the pandemic – and its Covid restrictions – forced many equipment exhibitors to pull out of construction industry events.

The Italy-based spider lift manufacturer has announced that it will take part in the upcoming Innovationstag 2021 event, which will be held north east of Frankfurt in Hohenroda, Germany, from 6 to 7 July.

While Bauma China 2020 in Shanghai was the last major live trade show the company took part in, CMC said it was eager to return to live events in Europe.

Alessandro Mastrogiacomo, CMC’s export sales director, said, “We are really full of motivation and good intentions for the resumption of trade fairs. Our platforms are people-oriented, although we have been able to present them correctly on digital platforms, we are aware that the driver of the experience is crucial in the customer’s buying process, be it an end user with individual needs, or a hirer with needs to enrich a vehicle fleet.”

Mastrogiacomo added, “We are also very happy that this is happening in Germany, where thanks to the presence of our Teutonic subsidiary, we will be able to better respond to our users’ expectations. And in the next few days, we will be able to announce a new subsidiary in Europe.”

The company and its German subsidiary, CMC Deutschland, will display a number of models at Innovationstag 2021. Visitors will be able to view the lithium battery version of the company’s S18F spider lift, the diesel version of which was first introduced at Bauma in 2019, and its CMC S23 and CMC S28 models.

CMC, which recently appointed its third distributor in northeast Europe as part of the expansion of its dealer network, said its presence at Innovationstag will be the first of two appearances the company will make in Germany this year.

It will also take part in Platformers’ Days in Karlsruhe in September. The event showcases mobile lifting and height-access technology.
