CMC has sold two 24 m S24 platforms to the US Army in Hawaii

Italy-based CMC has sold two of its 24 m articulated tracked platforms to the US military.

According to the manufacturer the United States Army decided to buy the pair of articulated CMC S24’s while using a 15 m working height S15 model at its Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, UAE.

The army will use the S24 platforms, one of CMC’s most popular models, in the USA at Schofield Barracks in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The S24 has a 24 m working height, 14 m outreach at a minimum cross stabilisation length of 2.51 m and is equipped with two telescopic booms, plus jib and 1.7 m wide, quick release basket. It can perform up-and-over duties at 10 m.

It is designed to be compact and offers a transport dimension of 0.88 m x 1.97 m x 6.06 m (W/H/L). It has two stabilisation positions and is equipped with dual power source (diesel engine and 220v electric motor) as standard. Also onboard is the manufacturer’s SCS (Self Control System).
