Cramo and Layher sign strategic partnership

European equipment rental group Cramo has signed a group-wide agreement with German scaffolding specialist, Layher GmbH & Co. KG.

Cramo's vice president, fleet management/equipment rental, Martin Holmgren said, "Steel scaffolding rental is important and growing business for us, especially in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries. We are quickly introducing this operation also in our other markets

"The agreement with Layher offers our customers an easy access to the widest assortment of steel scaffolding in the market, for example Allround scaffolding systems, façade scaffolding, façade scaffolding with temporary boards, tower scaffolding, circular scaffolding, birdcage scaffolding, suspend scaffolding, mobile scaffolding units etc. Cramo will gain an access to a specialised software programme for dimensioning, layout planning and calculation of most appropriate scaffolding solution for each customer project. Standard and compatible group wide scaffolding systems will in time improve coordination and efficiency at Cramo."

Margot Hofmann, sales manager at Layher International said, "This agreement with Cramo is important to us, we are already supplying Cramo Finland in selected regions, but this agreement opens up Cramo's entire market for us in Finland, Sweden and the Baltic countries - and over time also the other markets in the Cramo Group."

The first deliveries of scaffolding will be made this month (May).
