Dingli responds to growing Chinese rental market

At the beginning of 2011 Xuzhou Maiteng Machinery ordered 50 electric scissors from Zhejiang Dingli Machinery Co Ltd - these will be delivered with in a month.

Dingli has sold more than 200 scissors to Chinese rental companies in the last six months and the company believes that it now has the largest market share of scissors in Chinese rental companies including western brands. Dingli says that it is in discussion with most Chinese rental companies about their future purchasing plans. For example, Shanghai Jinda Machinery, a main Chinese rental company is forecast to purchase 200 scissors in 2011.

Dingli has a range of electrically driven and a range of hydraulically driven scissor lifts. According to the company, the majority of customers prefer the electrically driven scissor because of its significant advantages in driving speed, gradeability and working hours. The chief executive officer Mr Xu considers that electric drive scissors should be the future development trend. He said, "We are the manufacturer who started the business from electric drive platforms, we have rich experience in electric drive technology."

Although the Chinese rental market for aerial work platforms is in its infancy Dingli believes that, "The future prospects must be brilliant because of the increasing labour cost and human safety awareness."

Currently Dingli is able to produce 400 scissors per month. With an average order quantity of around 350 units a month for both the domestic and overseas market, in order to meet more customers' demands Dingli has committed to increase productivity.
