CTE Lift has received its first fully electric vans from manufacturer Green-G Electric Vehicles, following a year-long collaboration on a prototype electric van mount.

Three of Green-G’s Ecarry electric models, which can be used on standard road and on construction sites, were recently delivered the aerial platform specialist’s base near Verona in northern Italy.

Designed to offer a travel range of up to 70km and 25 work cycles, the vehicles feature a power supply system that can work entirely on battery power or in a ‘plugged-in’ mode that uses a mains power via a charging device (220V / 380V).

Antonio Chiello, Managing Director of Green-G Electric vehicle; said, “Our Ecarry is the most avant-garde vehicle in its category, with performance that clearly exceeds the standards.

“It is a light truck tailor-made for service companies, public bodies and carriers.

“Companies that operate in metropolises and cities and carry out activities with repetitive, constant itineraries and with numerous start & stops, such as urban hygiene, city logistics and ‘last mile’ deliveries, strategic in the ZTL

CTE will equip the Ecarry units with its fully electric MP 20 EV aerial platform, which features a double arm configuration comprising a telescopic boom and jib.

The model has a maximum working height of 20m, an outreach of 13m and a basket capacity of 250kg.

Once the platforms have been installed, the completed electric van mounts will be delivered to CTE’s customers in Europe. They will be the first to receive the zero-emissions model after it made its debut at Bauma 2022 last October.

Marco Govoni, Commercial & Marketing Director at CTE, said, “After the world preview presentation of the prototype at Bauma, dozens of demonstrations and test drives followed for very interested Italian and foreign customers, from Municipal Companies to rental companies, from metropolitan Cities to simple Municipalities.

“The response has been enthusiastic, the first orders have arrived, and we are letting ourselves be carried away by this innovative and in some ways pioneering spirit.

“As already stated last year at the birth of the CTE Green Innovation project, we have set ourselves the task of giving our ‘green’ contribution not only in words, but by following concrete actions”.

According to CTE, operators of the new mounted platform units will be able to control its movements from ground level using a wireless remote control console with an integrated display, or from a control console inside the platform’s basket.
