Avon Access has added a Hinowa 20.10 Lithium to its growing fleet of tracked booms

Avon Access has expanded its fleet of tracked boom lifts, including its first lithium-ion machine.

The Bristol, UK-based rental company has invested in a number of Hinowa Performance IIIS booms. Among the diesel/electric hybrids is a Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 Lithium, which is fully powered by Li-Ion batteries.

Lee Roberts, Avon Access founder and managing director, said, “We do an increasing amount of internal and external work for abbeys and churches. These customers really appreciate the benefits of silent, clean battery power provided by our Hinowa Lithium unit. However it has similar power and speed to the regular diesel machines in our fleet, so we operate it with complete confidence in getting the job done.”

With up to five hours of continuous working the Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 IIIS Lithium shares the same specifications as the standard 20.10 model. The machine can lift 230kg without restriction throughout its working envelope of 20 m maximum working height and up to 9.7m of horizontal outreach. The dual pantograph boom design enables working flush with walls and it has a three-speed drive system to reach the work area quickly.

Avon Access procured the machines from APS, the official UK distributor for Hinowa’s full range of tracked access platforms, dumpers and compact plant.
