Geda completes 10-lift order for Qatar

German lift manufacturer Geda and Qatar’s United Equipment have entered into partnership to supply Geda lifts and equipment for hire in the GCC.

The two companies secured their partnership with a ten-lift order from Geda’s PH-series, which was signed during the Bauma trade fair in Germany in April.

United Equipment specialises in crane rental in Qatar and is a long-standing partner of global equipment manufacturers such as Liebherr.

The recent deal with Geda will add three GEDA PH 2032, four GEDA PH 2737 and three other PH 3240 lifts to the United Equipment fleet. Further units have already been sold to end customers.

The PH-series can move up or down at a speed of 65 m/min. With a maximum lifting height of 400 m, the units will be mainly used on high-rise buildings. The hoists can transport up to 3,200 kg or 30 people, depending on design.
