The renovation of the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) in Munich is estimated to be costing €500000. To get the workforce up the scaffold-clad North Tower quickly and safely Geda has installed a Multilift P18 Comfort, passenger and material hoist.

Geda received the order via its dealer BNS in Chemnitz, who works closely with the Munich scaffolder SGM. The hoist from the new Multilift range (first introduced at Bauma 2007) has now been delivered directly to the City of Munich. The Multilift is expected to have to work for three years; its assembly height is 90 m and it has a total of 23 stop positions providing good accessibility to the various levels.

The hoist's integrated level pre-selection control system with digital display is simple and practical to use. Each level can be reached with the simple push of a button, just as with a domestic lift. The inbuilt frequency control means that there is no jerky start-up or braking.

The Multilift P12, can transport twelve persons up to a lifting height of 150 m, it is particularly suitable for work in urban areas and for restricted workspaces because it only requires a few square meters of floor space, The optional closed based enclosure means it also complies with the prevailing safety regulations.
