GSR makes turbine installation plain sailing
08 December 2011
Dutch-based contractor and rental company Sijtsma Group has been putting its new GSR E320PXJ truck mounted lift to good use, employing the 32m lift to construct a new wind turbine at Leeuwarden in The Netherlands.
The Volvo-mounted E320PXJ was brought in because it is particularly robust, reliable and easy to use. With an outreach of 20m, a load capacity of 280kg and reduced stabilisation, the E320PXJ can be used in even the narrowest of streets for jobs such as chimney maintenance.
Mounted on an 18t chassis, the E320PXJ features a heavy duty over-centre sigma style dual riser, four section telescopic boom and articulated jib.
Sijtsma supplies a vast array of services in the field of public and private buildings, including construction and maintenance work, painting, paving, insulation and façade cleaning, and it is therefore expected that the E320PXJ will get many outings. The Dutch company plans to utilise the hydraulic lift not only for its own jobs but to also make it available for hire.
Sijtsma obtained the E320PXJ from Allift Michielsens, GSR's distributor for the Benelux, in July 2011.
