GSR puts telescoping boom on 3.5 t van

10 March 2009

Italy's GSR unveiled its E140TJV model, a 14.3 m working height telescoping boom on a 3.5 t van. The machine, has a 130° fly jib, a maximum basket capacity of 220 kg and a maximum out reach of 8.3 m. Vehicle payload is 350 kg.

The control system of the machine has a moment limiting feature and provides stabiliser and vehicle engine start/stop controls in the basket. Options include insulation of the basket to 1 kV and the ability to operate without stabilisers, which restricts the working range.

GSR said that the E140TJV completes its range of truck-mounts and that it will be in series production in the first quarter of 2009. It also said that the next model in the TJV range will offer 12 m working height.

Mark, general manager of Sky King, GSR's UK dealer, said, "Versalift is the target market in the UK and GSR is helping us attack it. We're very excited about it. Telescopic van mounts are quicker than reverse articulated booms and are favoured by utility companies."
