Haulotte to launch 16-23m truck mounts

01 May 2008

The truck mounts, which will be introduced at the APEX exhibition in Maastricht in September, will comprise 16 m and 20 m telescopic models and a 23 m articulating platform, said Segundo Fernandez, Haulotte's sales director, speaking to AI at the SMOPyC exhibition in Spain.

Mr Fernandez, who was previously managing director of Haulotte's Spanish subsidiary, also told AI that the company had plans to introduce truck mounted platforms with working heights of up to 60 m, with acquisitions of truck mounted manufacturers being one option under consideration.

The new truck mounts are Haulotte's own development, and are unrelated to the badged machines shown by the company at the Bauma exhibition last year, which were produced by Italmec in Italy.

In addition to the truck mounts, Haulotte is also planning to launch a 41 m articulated boom and a 43 m telescopic boom, with the machines likely to be available from December this year or early in 2006. See full interview with Mr Fernandez on page 16.

• Haulotte's president, Alexandre Saubot, said at the ConExpo exhibition in Las Vegas that the company aimed to win a 10% share of the North American access market, with a 5% share in 2005 or by 2006 at the latest. Haulotte plans to open two new depots in the country later this year to add to its existing Baltimore facility.
