IAPAs & IPAF Summit - this week

The International Awards for Powered Accesss (IAPAs) and IPAF Summit are taking place in Berlin this week. 

Around 400 delegates are preparing themselves for the annual event, this year located at the H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz, Germany. They will witness the winners of 13 award categories picking up their trophies on Thursday night (20 April), including for the newly-introduced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) category. 

This year’s judging panel of five industry experts picked the winners and shortlist from more than 120 entries - almost matching last year’s record of more than 130 entries. 

The IAPAs follow the IPAF Summit, which takes place during the day on 20 April and will focus on the ‘The Future’. As always the Summit will include a range of presentations from leading industry experts who will explore how the sector will develop. The Summit will also celebrate IPAF’s 40th anniversary year - find out who is in the list of speakers are.

On the day before the IPAF Summit and IAPAs (19 April), delegates who have signed up for it, will enjoy a site visit to Zeppelin subsidiary Z-Lab, at which they will find out what the company does and learn about the digitalisation challenges and opportunities within the construction sector. Delegates will also hear about the company’s Akii venture, currently being developed by Z-Lab as a tool to develop digital access solutions, and Zamics, an asset management and tracking solution for equipment fleets, along with klickrent and klickcheck - online rental and digital check-in/out solutions.

On the evening of the 19 April, there will aslso be an IPAF & IAPA Welcome Evening Networking Drinks at Venue Bärensaal; a 20 minute walk from the H4 Hotel Alexanderplatz. The informal drinks reception, again only open to those who have pre-booked, will be another opportunity for delegates to network with others from the industry.
