The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) is investing resources in South East Asia to support its rapidly growing membership in the region.

The Federation already has members across China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. IPAF-approved training centres in South East Asia posted growth of 211.3% in training activities in 2013.

IPAF has appointed Evelyn Low Soo Chian as regional manager, who will assist Raymond Wat, based in Singapore. Evelyn will focus on organising IPAF’s presence at exhibitions, seminars and shows in the region, at the same time recruiting new members and providing support to members and training centres.

She previously worked at a Singapore rental company for seven years, in roles from customer service officer to assistant manager. She was in charge of developing marketing for the company, supervising the sales team, participating in and organising company events and exhibitions, and supervising the sales team in overseas markets.

“IPAF members in South East Asia are influencing governments and safety authorities in the region,” said IPAF CEO Tim Whiteman. “We call on rental companies and manufacturers to join IPAF and work to keep our industry safe.”
