By Patrick Hill10 March 2009

Opportunity for cross border trade from European enlargement is the topic of the presentation by Pat Cox, former president of the European Parliament, at this year's Access Summit.

The Summit, organised by IPAF (International Powered Access Federation), has the theme: "Rent clever: Dynamic powered access solutions in difficult times". It is free for all upon registration and will be held on 2 April 2009, starting at 1:30 pm, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Northwood in Dublin, Ireland.

Peter Power, the Irish Minister for Overseas Development, will open the Summit. Other speakers include Michael Kneeland, president/CEO of US-based United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental company, and John Ball, IPAF president and managing director of rental specialist Height for Hire in Ireland.

The Summit is open to all interested parties, who must first register by e-mailing info@ipaf.org. Presentation of the first International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA) will follow at a dinner ceremony. Information on dinner bookings and getting to the venue is at www.ipaf.org/iapa.
