IPAF Summit speakers announced

The speaker line-up for this year’s IPAF Summit is as strong as ever with some of the world’s leading authorities from the access sector already confirmed. 

Held on the same day as the International Awards for Powered Access on 8 March in Miami, US, the Summit is a high-profile conference bringing together senior representatives from across the access community to discuss and debate the latest developments in our industry.

This year the conference theme will be: Quantifying Sustainability and include illuminating presentations from: William Plummer, executive vice president and CFO at United Rentals; Norty Turner, managing director at Riwal; Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack; and Guru Bandekar, global vice president, product management and development at JLG.

There will be parallel sessions in the morning, one for MEWPs and one for MCWPs. The morning MEWPs session will focus on enhanced training techniques such as virtual reality and simulators. Further speakers will be announced soon.

As usual, the IPAF networking event, an informal drinks reception, will take place ahead of the Summit and IAPA awards, on the evening of 7 March.

A site visit close to the Summit and IAPA venue will be held on 9 March for Summit and IAPA attendees. More details will be announced soon.

Now in its tenth year, the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs), will be held on the evening of 8 March. It attracts around 450 industry professionals, and along with the Summit, provides excellent networking opportunities.

the IAPAs are jointly organised by KHL’s Access International and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), and celebrates best practice and excellence in the powered access industry,

The deadline for entries has now passed and the organiser would like to thank all those who took part. There has been an exceptional response as always, with just over 100 entries across the 13 categories, ranging from new products and innovations to safety and training.

As always, the entries will be judged, this month, by an independent panel of prominent industry experts with long-standing experience in the business. They alone decide the winners - recipients of IAPA trophies can therefore be justifiably proud of their achievement.
