IPAF training gets US boost

01 May 2008

SIA's stamp of approval is a significant boost to IPAF's training scheme in North America. The SIA has around 900 members, most of whom rent scaffolding, but they include owners of aerial work platforms and mast climbers.

Howard M Shapira, SIA president, said; “the SIA is looking to introduce training for these types of equipment. AWPT, with its widely-recognized industry training program, was the natural choice as a partner in this effort. AWPT will also offer preferred rates and terms to SIA members wishing to operate as approved training centres,” added Mr Shapira.
