JLG pulls out of Intermat

11 February 2009

JLG will not exhibit at Intermat, the largest construction equipment exhibition in the world this year, which is being held in Paris from April 20 - 25.

The company cited difficult market conditions and the need to focus resources on direct customer support as the reason for its withdrawal.

Commenting on the decision Wayne Lawson, JLG's managing director for Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME) region said, "It was a difficult decision to step away from Intermat.

"However, during this period of market stagnation, we believe the right decision is to focus our resources on activities which directly support our customers such as technical support, field service, training and online services.

"We remain committed to our customers in the rental, construction, agricultural and industrial markets. They are going through very tough times at the moment and we will be their staunch partner throughout the downturn."
