LGMG conference focuses on global growth

LGMG held an international online conference on 22 April, for 60 of its partners to discuss plans and developments in the global MEWP industry.

The virtual conference, entitled Together Towards a Brighter Future, was watched by participants from more than 30 countries and included an introduction to LGMG’s new, large-scale factory.

Viewers heard how the China-based company had weathered the Covid-19 storm in 2020 and continued the momentum of major growth, production, R&D and marketing, with sales and exports reaching a new high.

In the nine years since its establishment in 2012, LGMG has seen annual growth of 50%, and in the challenging 2020, the company achieved a revenue of 7.46 billion yuan, an increase of 50.2% compared over 2019, it said.

At the virtual conference, Song Yuxing, director of LGMG’s MEWP export department, summarised and reviewed the achievements of 2020 and the goals and plans for 2021. He said the company’s MEWP business had accelerated in the overseas market, with RT scissor lifts, articulating and telescopic boom lifts being favoured increasingly by customers in Europe, North America and other mature MEWP markets.

Phil Graysmark, sales director of LGMG Europe, provided a report on European economic development in the pandemic, the operations of the European division in 2020 and its goal in 2021, and gave suggestions for sales and market expansion and related support.

Due to the pandemic, many partners and customers had not been able to visit LGMG’s new MEWP ‘super factory’, following the completion of phase III of it construction.

The company said,“The rapid growth of the European and global markets also poses challenges of production and services. In order to seize the market opportunity and meet the requirements of clients, LGMG has consecutively invested billions of yuan to expand the core factory and upgrade the service system. In 2020, the phase III project was completed, and the newly upgraded LGMG MEWPs factory was put into use.

During the conference, 10 partners from Europe, Asia Pacific and other regions were presented awards for their achievements, and representatives from Japan, South Korea, Czech Republic and Italy shared their experiences in developing their markets.

Wang Yuling, director of the LGMG Overseas MEWP Application Research Institute, explained the company’s overseas product plans, including new models, upgrades new technologies and meeting international standards.

Shi Yanyu, deputy general manager of LGMG, said that to meet market requirements, the company established its MEWP Application Research Institute at the end of 2020 to conduct comprehensive investigation and analysis of problems raised by customers and to quickly provide solutions.

In 2021, LGMG aims to work with its global dealers to jointly promote its strategic international goal of reaching 10 billion in sales revenue in 2021, said the company. This will include fast communication of issues between its partners and a quick resolution of arising problems, to increase confidence in LGMG as a global brand.

The company concluded that as one of the 100 largest construction machinery manufacturers in the world, LGMG has actively promoted global growth. “It has made continuous development in overseas marketing, brand promotion and global service, and has significantly improved its competitiveness in the overseas markets.”

This will continue in 2021, it said, with a focus on R&D, manufacturing and after sales service in its international markets.
