Two Maber lifts at work at the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome

Italian manufacturer Maber has two transport platforms working on the renovation of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome, otherwise known as the Square Colosseum.

This suburban complex, initiated by Benito Mussolini in 1935 and opened in 1940, is now undergoing a year-long renovation. Once complete, the building will house the headquarters of fashion house Fendi.

Two Maber transport platforms, each offering a 2,000 kg capacity, are being rented through scaffolding company AGR Ponteggi based in Rome. The units are a twin-mast MBC2300/150 and a single mast MBC2000/150-S with a maximum height of 60 m and six stops.

Diego Benetton, sales manager for Maber, believes these two unit types will prove popular in the future, as renovation rather than new builds become the focus of European development.
