Construction company EKC Construction has purchased a new Magni telehandler for upgrade works to a “vital piece of infrastructure” in Sydney, Australia.

EKC is carrying out works to 3.2km of the Mona Vale Road East roadway in the city’s northern suburbs.

The project, which includes the construction of new climbing and descending traffic lanes, saw the company add the RTH 7.26 telehandler model to its fleet.

It is currently being used to build and install the formwork panels for the retaining walls on bridge abutments, as well as to carry out other lifting and material transport tasks.

The 7-tonne capacity model has a lifting height of 26m and was supplied by local dealer Allift with a 500kg platform, a 6-tonne winch and forks.

“The wide range of attachments offered and the R.F.ID coupling system allows for quick switching between attachments,” said Mangi.

“Moreover, this system automatically recognises the attachment coupled and shows the corresponding dynamic load chart on the in-cab display. Therefore, the operator can work in complete safety while monitoring the position of the load within the load chart in real time.”

Working on behalf of civil construction specialist Georgiou, which start itself started on the project in 2019, EKC is expected to complete its upgrade works on the road by the first quarter of 2023.
