Access and power rental company Manlift Middle East has expanded its Abu Dhabi operation by moving into a new purpose-built facility in the main Abu Dhabi industrial area, Musaffah.

Manlift, which has been headquartered in Dubai since its launch in 2006, opened its first Abu Dhabi branch in November 2007 but is moving to the new facility because of "good prospects for 2012", said the company in a press release.

The facility was officially opened this week by Manlift Group managing director John Ashcroft and the general manager of the Abu Dhabi operation, Tom Andersen.

Mr Ashroft said he believed the new facility would allow Manlift "to retain our position as a market leader in the Abu Dhabi Emirate in the years to come.

Tom Andersen added that that the facility would help it "provide top quality machines and service to our ever increasing customer base."

Manlift has a fleet of more than 1500 aerial platform units as well as diesel generators from suppliers including Cummins, Perkins and Doosan (Ingersoll Rand). As well as operating in the Middle East, Manlift has an aerial platform rental business in India.
