Mec Expands Aggressively

01 May 2008

Jim Tolle, MEC's vice president of sales and marketing, said MEC was already exporting a “large portion” of its production and that a European operation would be up and running by June this year.

MEC is producing a modified and expanded range of the former MEC scissors, the rights to which were acquired several years ago by Fresno-based sister company Equipment Parts Wholesale.

Already in production are the 1533, 1933, 2033, 1633, 2047, 2647 and 3247 scissors, and the 3068 and 3768 machines will complete the electric line later this year. Two mid-sized, rough-terrain scissors, the 3072 and 3772, and four rough-terrain, large-deck models up to the 5091 will follow “close behind”.
