New partnerships expands Easy Lift revenue

By Euan Youdale30 January 2023

Easy lift has closed 2022 with a 20% increase in turnover, following a major shift in what the Italian spider lift manufacturer describes as established working practices.

“Health events first and then socio-political events led to a considerable increase in energy and raw material costs and created many difficulties in finding material, with a consequent slowdown in production and delays in deliveries,” said the company.

Despite these difficulties, Easy Lift established purchasing programmes through its established dealers that resulted in the 2022 revenue rise. This followed a 20% increase in revenue in 2020 and a 50% rise in 2021. Besides the positive turnover, Easy Lift has reported a healthy order book throughout 2023, which includes sold out production until June this year.

The export market continued to dominate the company’s revenues, representing 82% of revenue for 2022. Nevertheless, Easy Lift’s home country of Italy has become its second largest market after the US, followed by Germany and the UK.

The volume in the Italian market has grown thanks to two trends in the country: government incentives related to Industry 4.0 and the growing rental market. The company added, “Rental is a growing trend also internationally but while in Europe it is a consolidated operating practice, in Italy it has taken hold in the last decade.”

Europe partnerships

The company also formed new partnerships with European rental firms, including Codiloc in France and Cramo, part of the Boels group, while expanding its customers base in Italy and  becoming a member of Italian manufacturer and rental association Assodimi/Assonolo, with its main objective to grow rental in the country.

There were also new collaborations with dealers, especially in India and China, two markets with infinite potential.

The company sold more than 400 machines in 2022, it said, with the best selling model in the small range, 13m -18m, being the R180. Among the larger models, the best selling machine remains the RA26, closely followed by the RA31. The company also reported good sales for the RA24, which went into production at the end of 2021. And, in 2022, the manufacturer launched the 53m working height RA53 - the highest platform in its range.

To thank all its employees, Easy Lift has given them a production bonus of an extra month’s pay, to help mitigate inflation being felt by households across Europe.

In addition to new team members in the production and design departments last year, the departments will continue to grow 2023. This will be complemented by a move to a new, much larger location by the end of the year, with building work having just got started.
