Tough, stringently tested equipment designed to prevent tools falling or being dropped while working at height has been introduced by international toolmaker Bahco.

The company’s ‘Tools at Height’ range has four product groups: lanyards, pouches and belts, hang bags and backpacks. They can be used to transport tools to the workplace as well as securing tools during use.

“Our aim has always been to develop ergonomic tools which make work safer and less demanding for professional users,” says Mark Haywood, managing director of SNA Europe (UK), which makes Bahco branded hand tools.

“The anti-drop equipment we have launched improves safety not only for tool users but for those working or passing beneath them.”

Lanyards, which can be attached to any tool are available in flexible, retractable or fixed formats; the strongest can carry up to 3kg.

Bahco backpacks have multiple inner compartments; adjustable length shoulder straps and external compartments enable easy access to tools while working at height.

Pouches and belts, fitted with lanyard attachment rings and tool hooks, are designed for working on roofs, scaffolds and in other high level locations. A universal pouch and separate holders for a power drill or hammer can be fastened to a hardwearing belt.

Bahco hang bags, are suitable for transporting tools to the workplace, have multiple compartments and are available in 30 or 60 litre sizes.
