Mastclimbers LLC has announced that its director of safety and training Kevin O’Shea has resigned to take up a new role with Hydro Mobile.

In the new post Mr O’Shea will focus on international legislation and safety. “This is a very amicable move,” He said, “I have the greatest respect for Bobby Reese, Mike Pitt and the rest of the Mastclimbers team, and will remain friends with each and every member.

“Mastclimbers has a lot to be proud of, it has come through the recession strongly and along the way has given back to the industry probably more than any other company, I'm proud to have been associated with them.”

Mr O’Shea will leave Mastclimbers on Friday (10 May). In his nine years of service as director of safety and training, he has worked with IPAF, SAIA, OSHA and most of the industry’s safety and training professionals in pursuit of the company’s goal of 100% IPAF training acceptance.

Mastclimbers co-owner Mr Pitt said he was sorry to see Mr O’Shea go. “We’ve accomplished so much together as a team, I think we can all agree that Kevin has changed the way mast climbers are used and viewed, improving safety, legislation and training along the way’.

Mr Pitt added that Mastclimbers would continue to improve the mast climbing industry by increasing the acceptance of IPAF training, promoting safe use of equipment and raising the profile of the Industry.

“A member of both IPAF and SAIA, Mastclimbers has been, and will continue to play a pivotal role in the industry,” added Mr Pitt. “We would like to publicly thank Kevin for all his hard work and to wish him the very best for the future.”
