Powered access rental company AFI-Uplift has opened extensive training facilities at its new London City depot at Leyton, which is within 1.7 miles of the Olympic Park.

The depot's training facilities - together with machine hire and service facilities - are available to all contractors working at the Olympic Park.

AFI is offering a full range of IPAF and PASMA accredited courses in two training rooms which can accommodate up to 22 trainees at one time.

Training can take place inside the premises on machines with heights of up to 11m., and good external lighting means that courses can also be run in the depot yard during non-daylight hours.

The depot has a fleet of boom and scissor lifts which are available for short-notice hire. AFI is also providing service engineer back up to minimise down-time.
