Tracked platform specialist Palazzani has entered the spider crane market with the launch of a new range.

The first model in the Italian manufacturer’s new Palcrane range is the 2.9 tonne capacity RPG 2900.

Paola Palazzani, commercial director at Palazzani Industrie, said the launch follows an analysis of the market and the needs of its customers. “They were asking us for a versatile, high-performance product, equipped with specific attachments, therefore we decided to open a new division.”

The RPG 2900 mini crane range offers a refined hydraulic management system, and a diesel and electric Bi-energy version, in single-phase or three-phase according to customer requirements. The model can be operated indoors and outdoors, on flat or uneven ground and on slopes or stairways.

Its 2.9 tonne lifting capability at 1.5m outreach, comes with a compact 730mm chassis and is able to pass through a standard doorway and work on delicate floors, even with reduced capacity.

The company said the crane also offers a high level of stability, combined with fluid movements. The standard radio control, with display, allows a single operator to carry out all maneuvers.

The new model is suited to a range of difficult to access applications across renal, material lifting, glass installation or steel structures.
