Palazzani presents new Ragno at Samoter

21 February 2011

Palazzani will launch its new tracked platform at Samoter next week. The new Ragno XTJ 32/C platform is notable for compact dimensions, versatility and efficiency.

The Ragno XTJ 32/C spider has a 32m working height and 14m outreach but is 1.98m high and 1.40m wide when retracted. It is designed to move quickly (4Km/h) over rough terrain and be positioned at the work site rapidly.

Automatic stabilisation with a single control movement can position the machine in spaces less than 3m wide and on an incline. This new model is available with fixed articulation stabilisers or variable hinge articulation which is designed to be simple to operate and allows the selection of eight different positions for each stabiliser.

The main arm has five sections configured for accurate and nimble aerial movements. The telescopic jib with its 5.5m reach can overcome obstacles at altitude. Whatever the stabilisers' position, the turntable rotates in both directions and the aerial basket can be orientated to 90° +80°. In addition to the 20kW diesel-powered engine, an electric motor means the Ragno XTJ 32/C can also work inside or where noice and emissions are an issue.
