PartnerLift plans European growth

By Euan Youdale14 March 2013

German rental association PartnerLift has announced plans for European expansion of its access equipment network at its annual conference.

During the conference in Hohenroda, PartnerLift’s new managing director Kai Schliephake said 103 rental companies had now joined the association, with 145 depots, 1500 employees and access to more than 14500 machines between them.

"It's our plan to expand our traditional access equipment network by adding new partners for construction rental, forklift rental and crane rental,” said Mr Schliephake. “It's PartnerLift's goal to put each partner in a position to deliver all kinds of access equipment, general construction machines, forklifts and cranes to each construction site by using the PartnerLift network.”

The number of rental units on PartnerLift’s books has grown by more than 25% in the last 12 months, it said, with the access platforms division showing modest growth of 10%, now up to 7000 pieces of equipment.

The construction rental and fork lift rental division has grown by more than 50%, said Schliephake, while the forklift division has more than 5000 rental machines in its fleet, which includes nearly 1000 telehandlers. The cranes database includes some 250 units and the construction division contains 1500 machines.

Part of the expansion plans will include an upgrade of the association’s website, which has produced more than 45000 sales leads to its members over the last 12 months. The newly-established advisory board also provides common purchasing of rental equipment for all members.
