Planet Platforms, a UK manufacturer of a range of access products has been awarded 'First Class Star Status' in the 2009 Sunday Times list of 100 best UK companies to work for.

The accreditation is awarded based on confidential employee answers to the Best Companies survey, which examines the factors which influence employee satisfaction and engagement with employers. These factors include: leadership, personal growth, well-being, and the relationship with management and colleagues.

Planet Platforms' marketing manager, Tim Mee said, "We were awarded the 'one to watch' status last year so to have worked our way up to First Class status makes us feel very proud.

"Planet constantly strives to promote positivism within the company and seek innovative ways to take the business forward. This is especially important in difficult times such as these we are experiencing."

As well as manufacturing work place access solutions Planet Platforms also provides a number of safety inspection and working at height training programmes. Clients include: Rolls-Royce, Thomas Cook, The Royal Albert Hall, ICI Chemicals, Shell Offshore and The National Trust.
