Platformers’ Days, set to take place in Germany, 10-11 September, at its new venue the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre, has announced additions to the programme of events.

The two new highlights at the mobile lifting and access equipment show include a Rough Terrain theme area and the Electro Park show.

It will mean visitors can experience machinery in action and up close, as well as being able to compare them and discuss their features to help them make the best purchasing decision, said show project manager Olivia Hogenmüller.

Platformers’ Days 2021 will be held across 20,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition space, 2,000 square metres of hall space and the two new live demonstration theme areas.

The Rough Terrain experience takes place in its own 2,000 square metre area at the main entrance, where manufacturers will showcase machinery and equipment on uneven ground, across a range of surfaces, inclines and obstacles.

“This reflects the core idea of Platformers’ Days of the last 20 years. It is this dynamism, with machinery in action everywhere you look, that participants really value,” said Hogenmüller.

The Electro Park show, in the exhibition centre’s Atrium, will be dedicated to electrification and sustainability and present the latest electric and hybrid equipment from the likes of Haulotte, Genie, Hematec, Teupen and JLG, in a noise-sensitive environment. Visitors will be able to experience the benefits of these machines and gain knowledge about applications that demand increasingly strict noise and emissions requirements.
