r2 shows refined Eazzi-lifts

r2 Access Platforms, the Wales based distributor of Manitou and Custom Equipment's Hybrid scissors, was able to show the finalised versions of the Eazzi-lift range of push around scissors at the Executive Hire Show held in Coventry, UK on 4 and 5 February.

Eazzi-lift is a UK company, which manufactures its push-around scissors in its Durham based factory. The Eazzi-lift range was first exhibited at last year's Executive Hire Show, since then the machines have been out into the market and several refinements have been made.

Changes include use of a stronger steel and a pull out drawer under the machines which contains the battery and most of the parts which need regular checks and maintenance. The machines can be supplied in any livery required but Eazzi-lift is making every maintenance tray black so that should the situation arise the whole tray can be replaced.

Martin Birbeck sales manager of Eazzi-lift said that manufacturing in the UK was an advantage to customers: as well as "Bringing Engineering back to the UK," it enables the company to respond quickly to customers, demands, for example replacement parts can be supplied in 24 hours.

The machines are designed to be suitable for use hospitals, colleges, schools, facilities management and shopping centres although the rental market is still very important. Currently only available in the UK Mr Birbeck said that the next step was Europe.

The Eazzi-Lift range consists of the Mini and Mini45 with the Midi shortly available the machines are compact and light weight for easy manoeuvrability through doorways and narrow aisles, they fit into a standard lift, have an automatic braking system with a detachable guardrail system.
