Riwal invests in the future

07 November 2014

Netherlands-based Riwal has expanded its fleet of environmentally friendly equipment with the JLG Hybrid 340AJ articulating boom lift.

The H340AJ offers improved fuel economy over the regular diesel model, as well as lower emission and noise levels. Earlier this year during APEX, Riwal announced its order of six JLG 1850SJs, the world’s largest boom lift with a working height of 58.6 m. It also announced it converted the 26 m working height JLG 800AJ from diesel to electric, as a sustainable alternative to diesel powered machines.

In addition Riwal has ordered Genie Z33/18 units, a lightweight articulated electric boom, suited to tasks on sensitive surfaces where space is restricted such as airports, shopping centres and theatres. The other investment is in Genie Z62/40 articulated booms, the newly designed and upgraded version of the Z60, offering an increased working height. Both Genie models have the Fast Mast boom system that allows rapid movement of the platform from full height to below grade.

Norty Turner, Riwal CEO commented, “Investing in new types of access equipment demonstrates how we continuously meet the changing demands of our customers and offer them innovative solutions for every project. These innovative units are not only new models for Riwal but also for the entire market.”
