Ruthmann's launches Height Performance range

As promised Ruthmann has unveiled the first model in its Height Performance range, designed to provide users with a truck mounted machine with a high performance:price ratio. The new 46m working height model, Steiger T460, features some of the engineering and material technologies employed on the Steiger T330 - a recent winner in the 2012 International Awards for Powered Access (IAPA). In particular the multibend profile of the boom, which is made from high strength, fine-grained steel.

The Steiger T460 is distinguished by its large working envelope and compact size.

The 3m extending boom combined with the manoeuvrable jib give the user 25% more working area, said Ruthmann. A 46m working height a 31m outreach and 22m up-and-over capacity plus a 7.5m reach below ground level.The total vehicle length is 10.4m.

Ruthmann has equipped the machine with a large basket, which can be hydraulically extended from 2.42m to 3.82m and is 0.97m wide. The maximum working load is 600kg, but a 320kg load can be used over the majority of the machine's working envelope.

The Steiger T460 is available on most chassis of the 18t GVW class.

Two more machines are planned in the Height Performance range of 50+m and 70+m, the first of these, the 50m+ Steiger is expected to be available in November/December of this year.
