Hong Kong-based rental company Honor Us Equipment (HK) leased a fleet of Skyjack mobile elevating platforms (MEWPs) for six months to the aluminium fixtures manufacturer Million Hope Industries and the curtain wall system provider Hong Kong Curtain Wall Testing Centre.

Both are based in Hong Kong. Since February, the SJ63 AJ along with a fleet of Skyjack scissor lifts—SJIII 3219, SJIII 4632 and SJIIII 4626—has been helping on construction projects such as the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Hong Kong Ocean Park, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, and Tsing Yi Logistics Centre.

“The SJ63 AJ articulating boom lift allows us to carry out aerial work in a safe and efficient manner. These stable platforms are not only easy to operate, but also highly versatile,” said Joe Yip of Hip Hing Engineering Limited, the main contractor of the projects. “Their wide range of applications guarantee good return on investment.”

Combining a working height of 21.21 m (69 ft 7 in), a horizontal reach of 12.19 m (40 ft), and an up-and-over clearance of 8.38 m (27 ft 6 in), the SJ63 AJ is ideal for industrial and construction applications. Skyjack scissor lifts SJIII 3219, SJIII 4632 and SJIII 4626 have working heights ranging from 7.62 m (25 ft) to 11.58 m (38 ft), and maximum weight capacities ranging from 249 kg (550 lbs) to 454 kg (1000 lbs). Together the fleet of Skyjack MEWPs are assisting with the installation of curtain walls, air-conditioners, electrical wiring and water fittings at the various construction sites, helping to make the construction process safe and significantly more efficient.

“Since the Hong Kong government has tightened the safety regulations on construction sites, aerial work platforms have become a popular alternative to traditional solutions,” said Rain Ku, managing director of Honor Us Equipment (HK). “And we highly recommend Skyjack machines to our customers for their unparalleled quality that ensures safety and reliability.”
