Skyjack has taken the wraps off its new TH series of telehandlers. The new product line is Tier 4 final and engineered to require no DPF, no DEF and no other active exhaust after treatement for its standard Tier 4 final engines.

The series consists of the SJ643 TH, SJ843 TH, SJ1044 TH AND SJ1056 TH.

The SJ643 TH will feature 6,000 pounds of maximum lift capacity and 43 feet, 4 inches of maximum lift height. The unit has a 28 foot, 9 inch forward reach and at its maximum forward reach, can lift 1,000 pounds.

The SJ843 TH will feature 8,000 pounds of maximum lift capacity and 43 feet, 4 inches of maximum lift height. The unit has a 28 foot, 9 inch forward reach and at its maximum forward reach, can lift 1,900 pounds.

The SJ1044 TH will feature 10,000 pounds of maximum lift capacity and 44 feet, 3 inches of maximum lift height. The unit has a 28 foot, 7 inch forward reach and at its maximum forward reach, can lift 2,500 pounds.

The SJ1056 TH will feature 10,000 pounds of maximum lift capacity and 56 feet, 3 inches of maximum lift height. The unit has a 41 foot, 5 inch forward reach and at its maximum forward reach, can lift 3,000 pounds.

All of the TH units have simpler rear axle stabilization, easier engine servicing and more. The telehandlers all have a 2-year warranty program.

Malcolm Early, vice president of marketing for Skyjack, told ALH that the teleahndler market is overally positive.

"[For the next 18 months we expect] continued growth fueled mostly by residential construction and for the 6,000 pound and 8,000 pound class," he said. "Other classes that are more dependent on industrial construction will not grow unless industrial drivers come in to play.

"The role of emission regulations will continue to be important as we approach Tier IV final deadlines. Although the regulations are often seen as driving costs and prices up there remains the possibility for companies to purchase the outgoing tiers ahead of time so that they can take advantage of the cost benefits."
