Australian rental firm Skyreach has added a Skyjack SJ63AJ articulating boom to its fleet.

Being promoted as the Skyreach KB63D, the Skyjack unit offers a working height of 21.2 m, a horizontal reach of 12.2 m and an up-and-over clearance of 8.4 m.

Designed for work in compact areas, the boom lift has a 360° rotation and zero tail swing. The unit is axle based on a 4WD carrier.

The Skyjack SJ63AJ features an open centre knuckle riser design for improved visibility, compact dimensions and low-reach capability. Dual lifting cylinders maintain true vertical rise, which prevents drifting forward or backwards.

According to Rod Leech, managing director of Skyreach, the latest addition to the rental fleet is already in high demand with clients. “This is a very versatile knuckle boom lift which has very broad appeal,” he said. “The platform height of 19.38 m is right in the sweet spot demanded by maintenance and construction contractors.”

Skyreach specialises in the rental of elevated working platforms. The company is a family owned, Australian business with branch offices spread throughout Queensland.
